The VL53L0X is the worlds smallest Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging sensor. Unlike standard proximity sensors that use Estimated Pulse Width, the VL53L0X contains a tiny 940nm laser source and a SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diode) detector. This allows it to measure the absolute distance to an object in real-time. Whether you are building a self-driving robot, a gesture-controlled lamp, or a drones landing assistant, this sensor provides the high-speed accuracy that industrial-grade projects demand.
Time-of-Flight (ToF) Technology: Measures distance based on the speed of light, ensuring accuracy even on dark or reflective surfaces.
Invisible 940nm Laser: Uses an eye-safe Class 1 laser that is completely invisible to the human eye.
I2C Interface: Simple 4-pin connection (VCC, GND, SDA, SCL) compatible with all major microcontrollers.
Millimeter Precision: Offers significantly better resolution and a narrower field of view compared to bulky ultrasonic sensors.
Long Range: Capable of measuring distances up to 2 meters (2000mm) in Long Range mode.
