This is theTLP626-2IC optocoupler manufactured by Toshiba. A photocoupler or optocoupleris anelectronic componentthat is used totransmit analog or digital information (electricalsignals)between two isolated, different circuits byusing lightwhile maintaining the electrical isolation of potentials up to 5000 times RMS Voltage. This optocouplerconsists of two infrared emitting diodes connected in inverse parallel, optically coupled to a photo-transistor.The TLP626-2 also offers two isolated channels in an eight lead plastic DIP.
