L6562A Transition-mode PFC Controller IC (SMD Package)

The L6562A is a current-mode PFC controller that operates in Transition Mode (TM). It delivers better performance while having the same pin-out as its predecessors, the L6561 and L6562. The very linear multiplier has a unique circuit that can lessen the distortion of the AC input current and enable wide-range mains operation with a very low THD, even over a wide load range.
A voltage-mode error amplifier and a precise (1 percent @TJ = 25C) internal voltage reference are used to control the output voltage.
It is easy to comply with energy conservation regulations thanks to the device’s exceptionally low consumption (60 A max. before start-up and 5 mA operating) and disable function appropriate for IC remote ON/OFF (Blue Angel, EnergyStar, Energy2000, etc.).
