Overview
The HT12E is a CMOS LSI encoder designed for remote control system applications. It encodes information consisting of NNN address bits and 12N12 N12N data bits. Each address and data input can be set to one of two logic states. The programmed address and data are transmitted along with header bits via RF or infrared communication. This IC is especially popular among students because it enables wireless communication without requiring a microcontroller.
