The HC-SR501 (HW-416-B) is a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor designed to detect human movement by sensing changes in the infrared levels emitted by surrounding objects. This module is famous for its Fresnel Lens (the white dome), which increases the viewing angle and protects the sensitive element. With two onboard potentiometers, you can customize how far the sensor reaches and how long the output stays HIGH after motion is detected.
Adjustable Sensitivity: Set the detection distance from 3 meters to 7 meters.
Adjustable Time Delay: Keep the output HIGH for anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutesperfect for timed lights.
Dual Trigger Modes:
L (Non-repeatable): Output goes LOW as soon as the delay time ends.
H (Repeatable): Output stays HIGH as long as someone is moving in range (Default).
Automatic Induction: When someone enters the range, it outputs HIGH; when they leave, it automatically turns LOW.
Wide Voltage Range: Works with a wide variety of power sources (4.5V to 20V).
