The DHT11 KY-015 is a basic, ultra-low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, spitting out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed!). While not as precise as its big brother (the DHT22), the DHT11 is favored for its reliability, ease of use, and fast integration into smart home and climate control prototypes.
2-in-1 Sensing: Measures both ambient temperature and relative humidity simultaneously.
Digital Signal Output: Single-bus digital signal transmission ensures data integrity over longer distances.
KY-015 PCB Mount: Unlike the bare 4-pin sensor, this module includes a 10k pull-up resistor and 3-pin headers, making it breadboard and jumper-wire friendly.
Calibrated Output: Each sensor is factory-calibrated for consistent performance.
Low Power: Consumes minimal energy, perfect for battery-powered remote weather stations.
