The Kyoritsu KEW 3122B is a batterypowered, analogue highvoltage insulation resistance tester designed for field and shop use. Its robust, ergonomic housing and builtin hard case protect the instrument and leads during transport, while the analogue pointer and colourcoded scales provide immediate visual feedback on insulation condition.
Autoranging between low and high resistance scales (05G / 2200G) allows the tester to maintain full output voltage (5kV5%) down to 0.2G, ensuring accurate readings even on partially deteriorated insulation. Bright LEDs indicate which range is active, complementing the analogue display for rapid judgment in bright or lowlight environments.
Weighing approximately 1.7kg (including eight Ccell batteries) and rated to CATIII600V / CATIV300V, the KEW3122B delivers up to 40hours of continuous use. Its safetycompliant design (IEC610101, 2030; IEC61010031) and optional recorder adaptor make it ideal for maintenance of cables, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
