The 28BYJ-48 is a 5V unipolar stepper motor that comes with an internal gear reduction system. While it moves slower than a standard motor, the 1:64 gear ratio gives it enough power to lift small weights or turn heavy mechanisms with ease. It is a 4-phase motor, making it extremely easy to control using the standard Arduino Stepper.h library or the popular ULN2003 driver board.
